The 9th Industrial Engineering Competition (IECOM) 2020
The semifinal and grand final competition has been held for 5 days. The semifinal competition consists of the stages of the business case essay, simulation, and amazing race. Obtained 5 finalist teams from 5 universities, ITB, UI, UNPAR, UGM, and UPD Phillipine. Finalists carry out a company visit to Redhouse (HQ Airasia Indonesia) and complete the industrial case from Airasia. Finalists gave a presentation on the results of the case to the jury consisting of ITB ITB Lecturer (Mr. Bintang), Airasia CEO (Ms. Vera), Head of Government Affair (Mr. Edi). Of the 5 finalists, the first winner was won by a team from UGM, the second winner was won by a team from UPD Phillipines, and the 3rd winner was won by the ITB team.
Student summit was held on January 8, 2020 with material from Mr. Ivan Harka (CTO Zenius). In the implementation, an assessment was also conducted for best delegates in conducting FGDs assisted by the Ganesha Model United Nations.
The Grand Summit was held on January 7, 2020 with remarks from Prof. Bambang Riyanto, ITB Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Partnership. The keynote speech was given by Mr. Imam Haryono, Expert Staff of the Minister of Business Climate and Investment Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia. The seminar and talkshow were filled by Ms. Veronita Sinaga (AirAsia Indonesia CEO), Ms. Tiarma Simanungkalit (Director of Technology Consulting Price Waterhouse Cooper), Ms. Nurdiana Darus (head of Unilever Indonesia’s Corporate affairs and sustainability), and Mr. Tratama Noordeen (Associate Director of Accenture Indonesia ). Total participants who were present were 303 students.
