Library Services

ITB manages the Central Library, located not far from the Labtek III building. The total area of the Central Library building is 12,248 m². The library consists of several sections with slightly different service hours, as shown in Table 14.9. The division of the library aims to organize book classifications and various activities, such as:

  • The general collection is located on the 2nd floor, while the scientific collection is spread across the 1st to 4th floors. This classification follows the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) system. The scientific collection on the 1st floor is usually designated for new students.

ITB subscribes to several electronic journal publishers. With this subscription, any computer registered under ITB’s IP address can access journals offered by these publishers. Table 11 lists the international journal publishers accessible via ITB’s network.

To help students access various journals and e-books online, the Central Library manages several online platforms:

In addition to the Central Library, the five study programs share a Local Library located on the 4th floor of the Labtek III building. Students may access this library Monday to Friday, from 09.00 – 16.00. The Local Library stores collections related to the academic fields of the five study programs.

ITB regularly allows study programs to propose the purchase of new books. The library is also equipped with several computers connected to ITB’s internet network, which can be used to search and access electronic journals mentioned earlier.

The Local Library also stores physical collections of Final Projects, Theses, and Dissertations that students can access free of charge. These physical documents may only be read on-site to ensure circulation traceability. However, students may also access them online by submitting a digital loan request via the provided link.
