BANDUNG, mr.fti.itb.ac.id – PT Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines (SPIL) menyerahkan hibah berupa 4 buah prototipe kapal kepada Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) pada Senin (26/1/2026), bertempat di Laboratorium Logistik, Gedung Labtek III, ITB Kampus Ganesha.
Dalam sambutannya, Prof. Tirto menyampaikan bahwa kerja sama ini merupakan implementasi nyata dari link and match antara perguruan tinggi dan industri.
“Kehadiran PT SPIL di Laboratorium Logistik memberikan akses bagi mahasiswa dan peneliti untuk dapat berinteraksi langsung dengan kasus riil di lapangan,” tutur Prof. Tirto.
Civitas akademika yang juga turut hadir dalam acara serah terima maket kapal yakni, Dr. Wisnu Aribowo, S.T., M.T. (Ketua Program Studi Sarjana Teknik Industri FTI ITB); Muhammad Akbar, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. (Ketua Program Studi Sarjana Manajemen Rekayasa FTI ITB); Titah Yudhistira, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. (Kepala Pusat Pengkajian Logistik dan Rantai Pasok); Dr. Rully Tri Cahyono, S.T., M.T. (Kepala Laboratorium Logistik FTI ITB); dan Veterina Nosadila Riaventin, S.T., M.Sc. (Kepala Laboratorium Perancangan dan Optimisasi Sistem Industri FTI ITB), serta perwakilan mahasiswa S1 dan S2 di Komunitas Teknik Industri.
Di sisi lain, General Manager Human Capital and Corporate Affairs PT SPIL, Dominikus Putranda Romo Ganggut S.Psi. M.M menekankan sinergi ini dilakukan sebagai upaya dalam rangka mempercepat digitalisasi logistik.
“ITB memiliki reputasi luar biasa dalam pengembangan teknologi dan efisiensi industri. Melalui program ini, PT SPIL berkomitmen untuk terus mendukung ekosistem riset, sehingga mampu mempersiapkan mahasiswa menjadi pemimpin masa depan, utamanya pada sektor logistik,” ujar Dominikus.
Kolaborasi ITB dan PT SPIL berfokus pada empat pilar utama, yaitu optimasi logistik berupa pemanfaatan teknologi dan keilmuan teknik industri untuk meningkatkan efisiensi rantai pasok, penerapan kecerdasan buatan (AI) untuk mendukung pengambilan keputusan strategis di industri maritim, riset kolaboratif bersama dosen dan peneliti ITB serta tim ahli PT SPIL, serta pengembangan talenta berupa program magang berbasis proyek bagi mahasiswa ITB dalam penyelesaian masalah di lapangan.

Agenda kegiatan ditutup dengan sesi diskusi, simulasi bongkar muat kapal, serta ramah tamah. Kerja sama ini diharapkan dapat memperkuat sinergi antara perguruan tinggi dan industri dalam mendukung pengembangan dan kemajuan sektor logistik nasional.

BANDUNG, mr.fti.itb.ac.id – PT Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines (SPIL) handed over a grant in the form of four ship prototype models to Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) on Monday (January 26, 2026), at the Logistics Laboratory, Labtek III Building, ITB Ganesha Campus.
In his remarks, Prof. Tirto stated that this collaboration represents a concrete implementation of the link and match concept between higher education institutions and industry.
“The presence of PT SPIL at the Logistics Laboratory provides students and researchers with access to directly interact with real-world cases in the field,” said Prof. Tirto.
Members of the academic community who were also present at the ship model handover ceremony included Dr. Wisnu Aribowo, S.T., M.T. (Head of the Undergraduate Industrial Engineering Program, FTI ITB); Muhammad Akbar, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. (Head of the Undergraduate Engineering Management Program, FTI ITB); Titah Yudhistira, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. (Head of the Center for Logistics and Supply Chain Studies); Dr. Rully Tri Cahyono, S.T., M.T. (Head of the Logistics Laboratory, FTI ITB); and Veterina Nosadila Riaventin, S.T., M.Sc. (Head of the Industrial Systems Design and Optimization Laboratory, FTI ITB), along with representatives of undergraduate and master’s students from the Industrial Engineering Community.
On the other hand, the General Manager of Human Capital and Corporate Affairs of PT SPIL, Dominikus Putranda Romo Ganggut, S.Psi., M.M., emphasized that this synergy aims to accelerate logistics digitalization.
“ITB has an outstanding reputation in technological development and industrial efficiency. Through this program, PT SPIL is committed to continuously supporting the research ecosystem in order to prepare students to become future leaders, particularly in the logistics sector,” said Dominikus.

The collaboration between ITB and PT SPIL focuses on four main pillars: logistics optimization through the application of industrial engineering technology and expertise to improve supply chain efficiency; the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to support strategic decision-making in the maritime industry; collaborative research involving ITB lecturers and researchers together with expert teams from PT SPIL; and talent development through project-based internship programs for ITB students to solve real-world industry problems.

The event concluded with a discussion session, ship loading and unloading simulations, and a networking gathering. This collaboration is expected to strengthen synergy between academia and industry in supporting the development and advancement of the national logistics sector.
